Install on Android

Takes about a minute. Android asks for one permission because the app doesn’t come from Google Play.

  1. Download the APK

    Tap “Download APK” above. If your browser warns that this type of file can harm your device, that’s its standard message for every APK — choose to download it anyway.

  2. Open the file

    When the download finishes, tap it in the notification or in your browser’s Downloads.

  3. Allow your browser to install it

    The first time, Android says installing unknown apps isn’t allowed. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.

  4. Install and open

    Tap Install, then Open. The first time you connect, Android asks to set up a VPN connection — tap OK.

Updating: when a new version is out, the app tells you. Download it from the link in the app or from this page and install it over the current app — your settings and sign-in are kept.

Download safely

  • Only from 9fvpn.com. 9F VPN for Android is not on Google Play or any other app store. Copies passed around on other websites, in groups or as chat attachments may have been changed — don’t install them.

  • Check the address. The download button on this page links to our download server, cdn.9fa9fa.com. Watch out for look-alike sites using our name or logo.

  • Compare the checksum. If you want to be sure the file wasn’t altered, compare its SHA-256 with the one shown above.

  • You can turn the permission off again. After installing, you can switch off “Allow from this source” for your browser in Android settings; the app keeps working.

Is 9F VPN on Google Play?

No. The Android app is only available as an APK from this page. VIP for Android is bought on our website as a set number of days, with no auto-renewal.

Will it work on my phone?

It needs Android 7.0 or later. Phones without Google services can use it too; only Google sign-in needs Google Play services, so sign in with an email code or Telegram instead.

How do I update the Android app?

The app tells you when a new version is available. Download the new APK and install it over the old one; you don’t need to uninstall first, and your settings and sign-in stay.

The download doesn’t start. What can I do?

Open this page in Chrome or your phone’s own browser instead of an in-app browser (Facebook, Messenger, Telegram and others). If it still fails, switch between Wi‑Fi and mobile data and try again.

Is there a version for computers?

Not at the moment. 9F VPN is available for iPhone, iPad and Android.
